Had an excellent conversation with Kelly about my warranty expiration and past claim. She quickly handled my issue and went above and beyond with her genuine attitude and kindness. Every experience I have is a produces positive results. Treat people.how younwant o be treated and it will come back to you. If Polaris/Indian keeps up this degree of customer service, I will continue praises of the company in my groups and they will keep my business for years to come. Thank you!

Pros:
  • Great american made bikes
  • Customer service
Cons:
  • I cant afford every model

Preferred solution: It sucks to get an issue but they WILL do the right thing if it is a legitimate issue and you stay on top of your communication level with the dealer and support.

User's recommendation: If you have an issue. Utilize customer connections along with your dealer. Play nice and you will see positive results.

Poor experience at dealer and faulty O2 sensors

Faulty 02 sensors and perpetual check engine light. Engine over heating. Engine now lags and can barely get the Scout Rogue 60 to 60MPH in top gear. Taken to dealer 3 times and they wouldn't even give me a loaner.

Indian Motocycle - Starting problems
I bought my 2026 chief and had problems with it stopping as I was riding in the first month. Was repaired. Still had the problem. Bike was put on battery tender for the winter. Coming spring, the bike would not start again. Back to the dealer. This happened every year. Come spring after being repaired the fall of year 7, the bike finally starts! Where is the acknowledgment of the electrical problem that Polaris has with their bikes? Where the acknowledgment of the distress given to me and other customers have endured? Polaris has a huge customer relations problem they need to rectify!

Horrible delivery experience from dealer & Indian zero help

Indian Motocycle - Horrible delivery experience from dealer & Indian zero help

I ordered a Scout Rogue from Integ Motorsports in East Peoria IL and they made a number is mistakes none large in themself but when you have eleven slip ups and refusal to rectify any of them before the scoot has five miles on it it is a bit much. I explained my dissatisfaction in a business like manner he the dealer took offense and told me to find another dealer to service the bike which now as ten miles on it.

I still do not have a bolt for the mirror so it hangs down and is unusable, finally got an owners manual, do not have the license plate of Memphis Shades faring I ordered and he has washed his hands of me because I complained. I called Indian they listened of faked listening and then told me just so you know we are forwarding this to some owners satisfaction group but they are 3rd party and not affiliated with Indian. So I said you mean you as a company are fine with one of your dealers not sending a customer a bolt for the mirror which fell out before I got the bike and telling them to go find another dealer and he said. We do not have any say in what our dealers do.

I was a truck dealer for forty years and they most certainly do have a say and a very big one.

Indian operates in a totally different manner than any other vehicle mfg. I have dealt with and I have dealt with dozens of automotive, aircraft, boat, cycle and truck manufacturers in our companies.

Inability of service center and customer support to diagnose and fix un-commanded throttle increases and engine knock.

Indian Motocycle - Inability of service center and customer support to diagnose and fix...

2020 Indian Chief Vintage 111ci. For the last three years I have taken the bike in multiple times to have it looked at for un-commanded acceleration immediately after starting a hot motor, huge safety issue, and engine surging at low RPM when coming to a stop and maneuvering in tight areas at low RPM.

In addition, after the engine heats up, any acceleration is accompanied by engine pinging. I was told by the shop that the knock sensor will stop the pinging which it does. As any mechanic can explain, frequent pinging is the result of uncontrolled explosions in the combustion chamber and will lead to piston, ring and cylinder damage. Yes, I use 91 or higher octane fuel and ride at high altitude and sea level elevations.

The response I get from both the shop and customer service is that they cannot duplicate the problem so the bike is fine.

Check the blogs. I'm not the only one with these issues.

Warranty issues 2018 Indian Springfield extended warranty

We purchased an extended warranty on the chrome. We went to the dealer ship and they took pictures after 3 months.

They said they sent the pictures in. We went back each month for three more months and we were told the first time that the claim had been sent in. The second time the manager said he was too busy or just lazy and would send it in that day. We went back today and found out that all claims had been denied.

Because the areas of the motorcycle had too much corrosion on them. Which was not covered. He said that he had sent the mortorcycle paperwork in under the wrong name and thats why we did not hear back sooner. I came home and called the company that issued the warranty.

I was told by that person that the dealer had sent in our pictures with another persons name. The pictures did not match the kind of Indian Motorcycle that was listed. They denied the pictures and the claim. I asked her about the problem.

She said they had never received a claim in our name. The other person is also angry because the pictures were not his and they didn't get back to him either. The dealership had only sent in two claims since January so he was just lying about having so many claims. He is just lazy!!!

We will never purchase another Indian Motorcycle at Daytona Beach Indian Dealership. We will also never recommend that dealership to anyone. Its sad that we have friends that bought there because of our recommendation. It was a terrible waste of $500.00.

for the extended warranty.

It is a very nasty place to do business. This is a LESSON LEARNED!!!

The screen panel on my motorcycle was damaged by water intrusion during the winter. I're trying to replace it with a new one under warranty in my country two month ago but they dont have it and they not do no effort to bring it here quickly and no one can be reached by email or chat in the mothership. I live in Israel and the dealer here does not provide a normal service so I try to contact the manufacturer but do not succeed. I have not been able to ride the motorcycle for several months because the screen does not function at all.

Indian customer service sucks!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Original review Jul 08, 2022

Ordered a bike February 9, 2022 it was supposed to be shipped June 10. The dealer had pulled my financing to square it all the way which is only good for 30 days.

Of course Indian did not ship the motorcycle and the communication is absolute zero. Customer service doesnt know a damn thing about nothing. They tell you that look into it theyll call you back but they never do. Then my ship date got changed to today July 8, 2022.

The bike has not shipped. The dealers dont know whats happening I dont even know how they can keep their lights on selling Indian motorcycles. They offer zero in communications and obviously do not wanna sell motorcycles. They lie through their teeth because their story changes all the time.

Good thing I keep the documentation from the dealer and the documentation from the customer service reps. I dont know if I want to do business with a company that cannot deliver . You have been warned. Buy a Harley.

Because Indian motorcycle does not give a rats *** about anybody. Its the worst buying experience Ive ever dealt with in my entire life. Seriously regretting this decision. I was originally told 45 days.

That wouldve been an April . July and still no bike canceled two vacations already over this. Dealer pulled my credit report and lowered my score and my financing expired because its only good for 30 days.

Dealing with in the end downright sucks save yourself the trouble. I am a very pissed off consumer.

Tire pressure indicator problems

I'm very disappointed that the Indian motorcycle company ( Polaris) has not addressed this problem as it is very common and well known. My dealer has done all they can and told me early on that Indian was very committed to being number one and taking on Harley but I have not seen that commitment from Indian.

This problem is sweep under the rug and I have had other Annoying issues with emblems on the bike being substandard and made in China. They wear out and the black paint comes off emblems and the back trunk rack.

Not what I would Expect from a 30,??000 plus dollar machine American made designed to compete against Harley Davidson. Very Disappointed to say the least and not sure I will be purchasing another Indian product.

Not happy machine cane with chrome exhaust

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I found an available machine at a dealer and the online advertisement showed black pipes which is the same as every stock photo that I have seen, when I realized the pipes were chrome I paid to have the exhaust replaced with a black one which the dealer had in stock, I planned on upgrading the mufflers but I don't think I should have had to pay $214.00 for the black covers to make my machine correct. When I asked customer service to help me with this I was told in the nicest way to get over it , well I would like to be reimbursed somehow for this. Also I was told that this grievance could not be escalated any further.
